What to include in a bug report

The more of this you send in the first message, the more likely the reply solves the problem instead of asking for details:

  • The exact YouTube video URL you were drawing from — without it, most issues cannot be reproduced.
  • Which filters were switched on (keyword, minimum likes, unique users) and what values you used.
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  • Your browser and operating system, for example “Chrome 126 on Windows 11” or “Safari on iPhone”.
  • The exact error text if one appeared, or a screenshot of the screen where it went wrong.

Things I cannot help with

  • Recovering, restoring, or moderating comments on your YouTube channel — CommentDraw only reads public comments and has no write access to any account.
  • Anything involving your YouTube password or account access. I will never ask for it, and you should never send it to anyone.
  • Legal advice about whether a specific giveaway is lawful where you live. The guides explain the general rules, but a local lawyer is the right call for a binding answer.
  • Retrieving the result of a past draw. Draws are not stored by default — once you close the page the result is gone unless you created a share link (live for 30 days).
